Letter to a Birth Parent

Dear Birthparent,

We are excited that you are taking the time to learn more about us. Thank you for choosing to give your baby life. We can’t imagine all that you must be going through, but we are inspired by your courage and your love. We are praying for you and for your baby.
We met 9 years ago through a church group, and both grew up in a small Wisconsin town near Appleton. We have been married since 2008 and adopted our precious son Lucas in 2015. He is our biggest blessing. We can't wait for him to have a little brother or sister!!!

Mike teaches at a Catholic seminary near our home. Mary Beth stays home with Lucas and works part-time doing financial planning and taxes. When we got married we hoped and prayed for children to share God’s love with. We are excited to open our hearts and home to your child. Our faith in God is very important to us and we are excited to teach your child how much God loves them.

We live in the Milwaukee suburbs in a safe family-oriented community. During the summer we love to take walks, browse through bookstores, or visit local zoos. We also like to explore antique shops, read, and play games. Our favorite TV show is America’s Got Talent and we love voting on which contestants are the best. We have a cute gray cat named Gracie. She is very affectionate and often wakes us up in the middle of the night asking for food. We can’t wait to introduce your child to our cat and take family walks together.

Our family is very important to us. Both of our families live in Wisconsin and we visit them often. Mike is the youngest of four children and has 12 nieces and nephews. His parents were married for 55 years and his dad Walter passed away in summer 2012. We miss Walter a lot. Mike’s mom Connie is an excellent cook, loves to garden, and is proud of her seven great-grandchildren whom she loves very much. Mary Beth is the oldest of seven children, so she has lots of practice babysitting and changing diapers. Her parents have been married for 33 years and have nine grandchildren, including Lucas. We love to spend time with our nieces and nephews and some of them are even our godchildren! Your child has cousins already waiting to meet them.

We are so grateful for the love you have for your baby. We are in awe that through your sacrifice we will be parents to a beautiful child of God. We are praying for you and we can’t wait to meet you soon and learn more about you and your family. Please visit our online profile or consider contacting us at GraceofAdoption@gmail.com.

Many prayers,
Mike and Mary Beth
